Painted Class Portraits

Painted Class Portraits

Last month of October, the 5 year olds classes painted class portraits. In order to do that, we observed our different facial features through different activities. Check out how we did that!

First, we read the book "Funny Faces" and we played to make funny faces expressing different feelings.

"I am angry" said Maria.

"I am happy" ,said  Nora.

"I am surprised", said  Maya.
"I am scared", said Mirella.

Then, we explored facial features with a partner.
"I can touch your eyebrows", said Maya and Melany.

" I can touch your nose", said Greta and Carla.

"I can touch your tongue", said Diego.

We mixed paint to make different skin tones.

We learnt that we had different hair and eyes colour.

We remembered important features like eyelashes and eyebrows.

Some children added other details to the portraits.

Once we finished the portraits, we played to describe them and we guessed who was hiding behind the portrait.

I am a girl.
My hair is long and black.
My eyes are brown.
"Can you guess who I am?"
I am a boy.
My hair is short and yellow.
My eyes are brown. I have got glasses.
"Can you guess who I am?"
      I am a boy.
                                                   My eyes are green.
                                                   My hair is yellow
"Can you guess who I am?"

We had lots of fun learning about our face features. We found out we are all different and that is what makes us all special!
